Barbados North Point is where the gentle Caribbean meets the wild Atlantic.
This is not the spot for swimming or laying beside a calm beach. But, if you’re looking for some impressive vistas and experience the ocean crashing against the shore, you’ve come to the right spot in Barbados. Compared to the other Barbados coast’s, the sound of the ocean and the atmosphere here at North Point was much different. The roar of the powerful waves beating against the shore here is deafening.
North Point, Saint Lucy
As the crow flies, Saint Lucy is the most distant part of Barbados from the capital city Bridgetown and remains one of the less populated parts of the island because its remoteness.

Be sure to take advantage of the walkway along the top of the cliff to get different perspectives of this spectacle.
Below the cliffs at North Point is steep steps that lead you into the Animal Flower Cave.
The view of the ocean from this spot is unforgettable. Here, you’ll learn more about the sea anemones which give their name to this spot. When they open up they look like flowers, and when they close they retreat back into their tubes. Unfortunately, there are only a few animal flowers left at the cave. Regardless, the cave is still a natural wonder and worth a visit.
